No Conservative Compassion for Cambodians

Via TalkLeft: The U.S. is deporting 1,500 Cambodians. Many have lived here for decades and with the exception of relatively minor offenses, like driving under the influence or assault, have been productive citizens. Most came as refugees from a war sparked by U.S. policy and will be returning to a nation they do not know.

Apparently, this is compassionate conservatism.

When did assualt become a "minor offense"?

(Driving under the influence, depending on enforcement technique and legtal defintion, which varies state to state, can indeed be a minor offense, but often isn't, as even some levels of "under the influence", again, depending on state defintion, can cause very noticeably dangerous behaviour from a noticeable number of drivers.)

And the mass murder by Khmer Rouge were "sparked by U.S. policy"? Wow, the things one learns on the internet...
