PAUL BABBITT TO WELCOME SENATOR JOHN KERRY TO
SMALL TOWN ARIZONA

FLAGSTAFF – Democratic candidate for Congress Paul Babbitt will greet Senator John Kerry on his visit to Flagstaff and Northern Arizona on Sunday, August 8 and Monday, August 9. 

Babbitt issued the following statement:

 

“I am proud to welcome Senator Kerry to Northern Arizona and to showcase Arizona’s beauty to the nation.  Rural and small town Arizonans have a champion in John Kerry, and his visit to Coconino County illustrates the importance of regions such as ours to the national campaign. I am also proud of Senator Kerry’s support of my candidacy in CD 1.  With a strong campaign in this region, including the thousands of Democrats, Independents and Republicans who support my candidacy, we will send both a Democratic Congressman and a Democratic President to Washington on November 2nd.”

Senator Kerry will be visiting Arizona on his two week, cross-country “Believe in America” Tour.  Kerry will travel to Arizona by train with his wife, Teresa Heinz Kerry.  Paul Babbitt will spend time with the candidate and participate in a campaign event in Flagstaff on Sunday night.  On Monday, Kerry and his wife will visit the Grand Canyon, which is also in Paul Babbitt’s district.
