BAGHDAD (Reuters) - "Iraq's interim president urged firebrand Shi'ite cleric Moqtada al-Sadr on Tuesday to lay down his arms and enter politics, a prospect which President Bush said he would not oppose."Bush must be getting pretty desperate about Sadr's street gangs if he is now willing to accept the political mainstreaming of the man whose head he wanted on a plate just a month ago. al Yawer was considered for the post of interim President, but Paul Bremer threatened to veto the choice (some democratic process when the conqueror's pizzle has more power than the entire governing board who are supposed to be representing the people of Iraq, huh?).
